Hackstons Knightsbridge is officially celebrating its first birthday!

You read that correctly: Our retail store is one year older, a little wiser, and certainly more seasoned in offering the finest whisky, wine, and spirits.

Together, let’s celebrate the wins, the memories, the incredible brands we’ve partnered with… and of course, you, the wonderful people who make it all worthwhile.

What birthday is complete without gifts? We’ve got something special lined up for you (spoiler alert: it involves a complimentary whisky tasting worth £120…).

It all began with a party (or two)…

We kicked off our store launch with a soft launch back in September 2024. We’re talking about intimate friends-and-family vibes. Why? Because we couldn’t think of a better way to break in the bar and test the whisky stamina of our nearest and dearest.

As for the hard launch (on 9th October), that special day marked our official debut. We invited members of the press, media, and industry insiders to all descend upon Knightsbridge for an unforgettable time. Think bespoke Hackstons cocktails, live music, and as expected endless chatter about whisky (and life).

That was the definitive moment we truly planted our flag in SW1.

Let’s talk about the sold-out Tasting Table events (and why they were a hit)

They’re popular for a reason. Let’s find out why, shall we?

Let’s just say the seats for these events were snapped up faster than a dram of Dalmore 18 at closing time.

From Tour de France which took guests on a journey through France via cheese and wine, to the Sushi & Sparkling Tasting Table (in collaboration with The Aubrey at the Mandarin Oriental) which had attendees thinking: “Who knew toro tuna and Nyetimber were the pairing we never knew we needed?” these food pairings were a hit!

Turns out, game-changing events paired with unexpected food pairings work a treat for you lovely bunch. The best part? They’re more than just drinks. These events were immersive, social, and sprinkled with plenty of indulgence.

The key lesson here? Whisky and wine tastings don’t have to be stuffy. They can (and always should) be fun.

Without sounding too biased here, we mean it when we say this is more than just a place to shop. It’s become a home for whisky enthusiasts, collectors, and those that are simply curious.

This is the go-to place that sets up a stage for discovery, and where the shelves are lined with stories as much as spirits.

Going beyond the four walls: touching on the interiors

Our Knightsbridge space isn’t just a shop; it’s an experience.

The tasting library is the crown jewel: walnut panelling, lapis-blue marble, and antique brass. Softly lit and Highlands-inspired, it’s part education, part escapism. Add in a private consultation room with its circular table, and the basement vaults (complete with micro-still and casks for portfolio clients), and you’ve got a space that’s so much more than your standard retail experience.

Every bottle shines under bespoke lighting that turns a simple browse into a sensory adventure.

Raising the bar: rare bottlings and big wins

We do way more than pour whisky.

This year saw the launch of The Bottling Club, our very own independent bottling range, giving you access to hidden whisky gems you simply won’t find anywhere else. Basically, it’s a passion project of ours, bottled with love.

Another thing we have to note: in case you weren’t aware, we sold the incredibly rare and coveted The Tales of Macallan Volume II valued at £77,000. This goes to show that if needed, Hackstons Knightsbridge can pull out the big guns when the occasion calls.

From everyday drams to world-class collectibles, we’re your go-to for the rare, the remarkable, and the downright extraordinary.

A birthday gift from us, to you

You know the saying “make a house into a home”? Well, the same goes for retail stores (and we mean that). We truly couldn’t have made our retail space as magical without those of you that make us your whisky and wine go-to. You’re the ones who encourage us to continue doing what we do, after all. You jumped in and rode the wave with us (in style). You brought the atmosphere, you brought the camaraderie, making the true Hackstons spirit come alive.
