Released exclusively for the Ardbeg Committee, Heavy Vapours was distilled without the purifier normally fitted to Ardbeg's stills, producing a heavier, more robust spirit while retaining the distillery's unmistakable Islay character.Dense peat smoke and charcoal are joined by tar, lemon peel and dark chocolate. The palate is oily and powerful, with smoked citrus, black pepper, liquorice and ash, finishing long, savoury and intensely smoky.
