Clos des Bouchères is one of Domaine Roulot’s most distinctive wines, a 1.38-hectare Premier Cru monopole acquired in 2011 and transformed into one of Meursault’s most refined expressions. The enclosed vineyard sits within Les Bouchères, where shallow, stony soils over limestone and marl bring length, salinity and fine structure to the Chardonnay. The 2024 vintage was cool and naturally elegant, giving the wine a transparent, almost weightless sense of precision despite its depth. Lemon, white peach and orange zest sit alongside white flowers, nutmeg, fresh bread and subtle hazelnut, with electric acidity and a saline finish holding everything together. Silky, intense and beautifully composed, it carries Premier Cru authority without heaviness. Built for a long life in the cellar, it’s a serious white Burgundy for turbot, lobster or roast poultry.
