The distillery has a unique role known as the Master of Wood, dedicated to sourcing the highest quality oak and overseeing the entire cask preparation process. The Macallan 18YO Double Cask is matured for 18 years in a harmonious combination of American and European oak casks, both seasoned with sherry from Jerez, Spain. This dual maturation process is what makes the Double Cask range truly unique, embodying the brand's philosophy of harmony between tradition and innovation.
