A Night on Earth in Jerez is inspired by New Year’s Eve in the home of Sherry wine, Jerez de la Frontera. This limited-edition release is matured in exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks, with a small, rare parcel of Pedro Ximenez seasoned European oak casks for additional depth and unexpected richness – evoking the nostalgic flavours of home, to make it the perfect gift for someone you love.The Macallan has collaborated with Jerez-born artist, María Melero, to create the designs that can be enjoyed during the unique unboxing experience of A Night on Earth. María has used her fondest memories of New Year in her home city. Starting with a crimson sky over vineyards of sherry grape vines; progressing into María’s city home, represented by the azulejos (traditional Jerez wall tiles); and finally reaching gold-toned grapes to represent the sherry wine that will one day season the Macallan casks.
Nose - Honey-coated Pestiños, sweet raisins, cinnamon, anise, rich oak, and vibrant citrus.
Palate - Sweet pastry, white grapes, honey- glazed almonds, vanilla, balanced spices and hints of fresh rosemary.
Finish - Sweet, vibrant, and warming.
