Distilled in 1971 at the long-silent North of Scotland distillery and bottled over half a century later by Kingsbury Wine & Spirits, this extraordinary single grain whisky is a true relic of Lowland whisky heritage. With the distillery long since closed, each bottle captures a vanished chapter of Scotland’s distilling history, matured gracefully for 52 years in a refill hogshead and bottled at 42.5% ABV. Silky, elegant, and quietly complex, this release is a rare opportunity to taste the passage of time itself.
Nose - Soft caramel and polished oak with layers of vanilla fudge, coconut, and gentle spice.
Palate - Silky and mature, offering crème brûlée, honeycomb, and dried tropical fruit balanced by a whisper of oak tannin.
Finish - Long and graceful, leaving echoes of vanilla cream and warm, toasty grain sweetness.
