This 1990 Château Climens comes from one of Bordeaux’s great vintages, and it shows this Barsac estate at its very best. Made from Sémillon grown on the limestone soils that give Climens its signature finesse, it balances richness with incredible freshness. With time in bottle it has developed a beautifully complex nose of marmalade, honeysuckle and acacia, layered with hints of roasted nuts and crème brûlée. The palate is generous and full, yet lifted by a fine thread of acidity that carries flavours of candied apricot, wild honey and gentle spice. Drinking wonderfully now, it’s a sweet Bordeaux that still has plenty of life and charm ahead.
