Blanc de Lynch-Bages is the white wine of the celebrated Pauillac estate, made from vineyards on the cooler soils of Saint-Sauveur in the Médoc. The 2015 blends 50% Sauvignon Blanc, 33% Sémillon and 17% Muscadelle, bringing together citrus freshness, breadth and an unusually expressive floral character. Fermented and aged in barrel for six months, with regular lees stirring and around half new oak, it gains texture without losing the bright acidity that defines the vintage. White peach, grapefruit and lemon peel sit alongside acacia, beeswax and a gentle note of vanilla, while a saline, mineral edge keeps the palate precise. Richer than a simple Bordeaux Blanc but still lively and focused, it shows impressive aromatic persistence. Serve at 10–12°C with shellfish, grilled fish or poultry in a light cream sauce.
