144 winemaking trials were conducted in the 1990s to create the 'Yattarna' Chardonnay, a name taken from the indigenous word meaning 'little by little'. A crisp, fresh, dry style, this gorgeous Chardonnay opens with aromas of fresh cut meadow hay, lemon curd, candied lime, dried herbs and cucumber freshness. The palate is complex with layers of overlaying fruits, from green kiwi and melon to lemon curd and grapefruit. Texturally indulgent, the long finish has a touch of peppery, herbal spice and crumbly minerality.
