The pinnacle of Mendoza Malbec, the Gran Malbec X from Pulenta Estate has powerful blackberry, ripe blueberry, plum fruits, lavendar, and black truffle on the nose. Full bodied, juicy, yet silky smooth in the palate, there's an added depth to the inky black and blue fruits, with more than a hint of dark chocolate and toasted coconut. The persistent finish proves this is undoubtedly one of the finest Malbecs out there.
Nose - Aromatic and expressive, the nose opens with ripe blackberries, plums, and dark cherries, layered over notes of violet, cedar, and vanilla. Subtle undertones of graphite, cocoa, and sweet tobacco hint at its oak aging and add complexity.
Palate - Full-bodied and richly textured, the palate mirrors the nose with dense dark fruit—especially blackberry compote and blackcurrant—balanced by bright acidity and well-integrated tannins. Mid-palate reveals notes of baking spices, dark chocolate, and a touch of espresso. The wine’s structure is firm yet polished, showcasing its high-altitude origins and careful winemaking.
Finish - Long and elegant, the finish carries through with lingering dark fruit, savory spice, and a whisper of toasted oak. It leaves a refined impression of power and finesse, suggesting great aging potential.
