Victorino is one of the leading wines from Teso La Monja, the Eguren family’s estate in Toro, where old vineyards of Tinta de Toro produce reds of remarkable concentration and character. Made entirely from the region’s local expression of Tempranillo, it comes from carefully selected old vines rooted in Toro’s harsh, stony soils, where low yields and an extreme continental climate naturally build depth. The wine is matured for 18 months in new French oak, giving shape and polish to its powerful fruit without hiding the vineyard character. Ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum are layered with violet, cocoa, cedar and sweet spice, while firm but finely worked tannins carry a long, savoury finish. Rich, intense and modern in style, it balances Toro’s natural strength with impressive precision and works beautifully with roast beef, lamb or game.
