From one of Volnay's most elegant Premier Cru vineyards, Carelle Sous la Chapelle shows the finesse and perfume that define the appellation. The excellent 2005 vintage gave the wine both concentration and balance, while the magnum format has allowed it to mature slowly and gracefully.Fragrant red cherry, wild strawberry and rose petal are complemented by gentle spice and forest floor. The palate is silky and refined, with vibrant acidity, fine tannins and a long, mineral finish.
