Château Montrose is one of those Bordeaux estates that rarely needs an introduction. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot and small portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, shaping a style known for its depth, graphite-tingled black fruit and a firm, commanding backbone. Often described as the “Labour of Saint-Estèphe,” Montrose has long been considered a super Second capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with Bordeaux’s First Growths in the best vintages.
